Above is a Harry Potter and the deathly hallows t-shirt, it is being sold in many stores across the UK. It again simply advertises the promotion of the film even more, as when people see it in stores and when people are wearing the top they are constantly being reminded of the new film.

The above video is the trailer of the new Harry Potter film, it is being shown in cinema screens, on websites and on television. Immediately, once it is shown people want to see the film and want to know more about what happens!

The above image was shown in a variety of newspapers and magazines, it is of the three main characters in Harry Potter at the premiere of the new film. When people see the pictures of the premiere within the newspapers, they immediately relate back to the film and become eager to see it.

This poster has been used to advertise the new Harry Potter on buses across the UK. Yet again, the memorable lettering signifys to the public that it is advertising Harry Potter. The poster brilliantly doesnt reveal anything about the film, it just simply has the initials 'HP' and the date in which it is released. This makes the public more intirgued to see the film.

The above poster has been placed in various places to advertise the brand new release of Harry Potter and the deathly hallows. It is a very simple poster showing not a lot of detail about the new film. However, due to the fact that the lighting bolt lettering used to spell Harry Potter is so memorable, people immediately know what the advert is and begin to think about the new film.

The above image is the page in which everyone first sees when logging on to http://www.youtube.com/. This meaning that as soon as people click on to this website, they are immedately reminded of the new release of the latest Harry Potter film. Aswell as this, youtube has an extremely large audience and people of all different ages go on to this website meaining a lot of people will see this advert.

The above image shows a recent copy of Empire magazine with Harry Potter 7 being advertised on the front cover. This meaning that even if people do not buy this magazine, as soon as they enter a shop they can see it and are reminded of the release of the brand new Harry Potter film. This magazine targets people who love films and are very interested in new releases, mainly it is adults who read this magazine. this proving that Harry Potter appeals to a wide audience, including the older generation.

My Horror Still:

This is my horror still shot: It is simply a hand coming from behind a door. I have used the colour 'sepia' for the shot, as it gives it a dark and mysterious feel. I have also made it a low angle shot to show how the character behind the door is superior and dominant in the scene, therefore making the audience become more afraid of this mysterious character.

Example of a low angle shot:

Low Angle Shot:

A low angle shot is similar to a worms eye view shot, as the camera looks up at a character or object again making them look larger and more dominant.

Example of Worms view shot:

Worms Eye View Shot:

A worms eye view shot is the opposite of a birds eye view shot. It is when the camera is looking up at the sky for example or looking up at a person standing up. This can make the character standing up look important and domineering, as they are looking down at the camera.

Example Of Birds Eye View Shot:

Birds Eye View Shot:

A birds eye view shot is when the camera is placed very high up- sometimes in planes or helicopters to gain extra height. The shot shows the scenery of the shot very well as a lot can be seen from high up. Birds eye view shots can also be used to patronise chracters and feel dominant, as the camera is looking down upon them. Birds eye view shots are also commonly called: aerial shots and crane shots.

Example of a crash zoom shot:

Crash Zoom Shot:

A crash zoom shot is when the focus is pulled away from an object very quickly to make the object seem closer or further away.

Example of reverse track shot:

Reverse Track Shot:

A reverse track shot is when the camera zooms out on the background and zooms in and focuses the audiences attention on a particualr object. This usually happens within scenes when something dramatic has occured and a particular object/character needs to be the main focus.

Example of whip pan shot:

Whip Pan Shot:

A whip pan shot is a very sudden and fast pan. This type of shot is very commonly used in recent British gangster films.

Example of Tracking Shot:

This shot is from Steven Spielberg's Duel, it features many tracking shots.

Tracking Shot:

A tracking shot is when the camera moves forward and backward to focus upon a particular object or character. The shot is often called a tracking shot due to the fact that the camera is run along a small track in order to follow the action.
Sometimes it is called a dolly shot, due to the fact that a tripod on wheels is called a dolly and this is usually used for these types of shots in order to focus on objects and characters aswell as having the background in the view of the shot.
